You are viewing a gorgeous bronze casting of an antelope. The bronze is of the highest quality with a luxurious deep brown patina to it. He is relaxing and proud with lovely curled horns, caught with skill by the artist Milo. It would make for a great, collectible decorative item for your home. Antelope, common name applied to a large group of hollow-horned ruminants belonging to the same family (Bovidae) as cattle, goats, and sheep. The group comprises about 150 species. True antelopes are found mainly in Africa and the remainder in Asia. Antelopes range in size from the tiny royal antelope, which stands about 25 cm (10 in) high at the shoulder, to the Derby eland, sometimes about 1.8 m (6 ft) in height and weighing up to about 680 kg (1,500 lb). The corkscrew horns of a large African antelope, the kudu, grow to about 1.5 m (5 ft) in length. Unlike deer, which they resemble in body and in habits, antelopes have un branched, hollow horns that are never shed. Antelopes are generally swift, and some species are the fastest of the quadrupeds, attaining speeds of 97 km/Rh (60 mph). Antelopes are often brilliantly colored and may live in open plains, marshes, deserts, or forests, according to species. Some are solitary, but many species travel in herds. Being bronze this will lasts forever without rusting and hence is a great investment as it will always appreciate Aside from being aesthetically pleasing and nice to look at they can also become heirlooms

What material are your sculptures made out of?

All of our sculptures are made from100% hot cast bronze, and handmade in the ancient lost wax casting method. We never sell cheap cold cast sculptures or resins!

What is the difference between hot cast and cold cast bronzes?

Hot cast bronze is created by pouring a molten metal mixture into a mold.  Before the metal can be poured, our artists must first create the mold on a medium such as clay, rubber, or wood.  Each mold allows for a limited number of pours, and therefore a limited amount of sculptures can be created in any given round of production before the mold is destroyed and the artist must create a new mold.

Cold cast is actually made from resins and plastics which are painted over. They are cheaper, lighter, and less durable.

Generally speaking, hot cast bronzes are very time consuming and limited in their production, whereas cold cast resins can be mass produced and are inexpensive to create.
