his is a sculpture of the birth of Venus. She emerges from the water nude and standing on a large shell. Her hair wraps around her body and is lifted by the wind surrounding her. She holds both hands in her hair, as she looks sensually and gracefully forward. She is whimsical and stunning in her new form, and represents a new beginning and birth. This is a solid 100% bronze piece with a two tone brown and green patina. Cast using the "Lost Wax Method" atop a beautiful black marble base and is signed Moreau.
