With a quick forward lunge the fencer hopes to hit is target lame. On the defense a counter attack is proposed with a stop hit to the attackers saber. Weather this is an Assault or a bout these two fencers sure do seem to be giving it their all. These sculptures speak volumes of motion, both sculptures are impressively detailed. On both fencing masks you can see the detailed mesh that protects their faces and the neck guard’s fall with movement. Underneath the masks the men both sport sweaty hair dos with heavy hair. Even the lames have lines of movement; you can see the creasing of the clothes in the areas of extension, look at the legs and the extended arms.  Each player is wearing a different pair of socks. The sculpture on the right has high socks with a thick band at the top but a thick weaves going down his legs in stripes. As the sculpture on the left wears high socks with a thick band and a weaves pattern all around the socks. The shoes are remarkable showing the laces weaving in and out of every hole. Their hands are gripped around their sabers and their knuckles are highlighted with a gold patina to show the strength they hold them with.  These beautiful classy sculptures come in a pair and are signed by the artist Milo.  They are both set atop a black marble base, are solid bronze, and 100% handmade.  These sculptures portray the wonderful sport of fencing in a refined manner.  This is a great gift for the fencer in your life or just for the sports lover in your life. These sculptures are sure to add a touch of class to any space!

FAQ's

What material are your sculptures made out of?

All of our sculptures are made from100% hot cast bronze, and handmade in the ancient lost wax casting method. We never sell cheap cold cast sculptures or resins!

What is the difference between hot cast and cold cast bronzes?

Hot cast bronze is created by pouring a molten metal mixture into a mold.  Before the metal can be poured, our artists must first create the mold on a medium such as clay, rubber, or wood.  Each mold allows for a limited number of pours, and therefore a limited amount of sculptures can be created in any given round of production before the mold is destroyed and the artist must create a new mold.

Cold cast is actually made from resins and plastics which are painted over. They are cheaper, lighter, and less durable.

Generally speaking, hot cast bronzes are very time consuming and limited in their production, whereas cold cast resins can be mass produced and are inexpensive to create.

Do you do custom work?

Custom work is available in some cases.  Please contact us with the details of the job.

Can I sell you one of my own pieces?

Unfortunately, we do not buy pieces from the public.  To ensure the highest quality, we only sell brand new pieces that we commission ourselves, or buy directly from artists and manufacturers we know and trust.
