He`s angry, hungry, and unrelenting. The lion`s paws grip the ground, the tension spreads like a current from his paws to all the tendons in his body. His mouth is open wide in what can only be a ferocious roar meant to intimidate and warn the prey that its end is near. This piece was cast using the lost wax method. It stands on a smooth black marble base. It is signed by the artist Barye.

The statue arrived with broken rod, cracked marble base. And broken rope. I was able to glue the rod and the rope. I disputed the charge with my credit card until the problem with the cracked base is resolved. Mr. Yan asserted tha he will ship a new base. So far I have not received any update. I’m not a happy customer because the statue had been damaged before it was shipped.
