Drawing from the Russian Ballet and French culture Chiparus designed this festive dancer. The dancer is dressed head to toe in an intricately designed costume. She is kneeling on the ground with a lean leg stretched in front of her, an arm bent over head and the other on the floor to support her. She`s a confident performer, sure of her beauty. grace and skill while posing. This sculpture is set on a black marble base. It is signed D.H. Chiparus. The piece was sculpted using the laborious and popular lost wax method.
