She is an artist`s muse. A Greek goddess poses for a painting, sitting before his easel. She sits with the posture of royalty. Her head is held high. Her back does not curve. Her face does not give way to even the slightest hint of a smile. A yellow patina wreath crowns her neat hair, while she clutches another wreath in her dangling arm. She leans an elbow on a straw basket and looks away from the painter. She gently drapes her other hand on her curled legs. A yellow sash drapes over them. True to the women of her time, her body is curvy and full. She is comfortable being the inspiration for the strokes of his paintbrush. 100% bronze and handmade, this brown patina sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and mounted on a marble base and is signed A. Canova.
