A top of his head he wears a galea, which is a soldier`s helmet. A baldric straps across his chest which is leather belt typically used to carry a weapon. His paludamentum, which is cloak usually fastened to one shoulder, slides down his back falling in between his legs. A shield rests on shins as he fashions to repair a weapon. The bronze sculpture was cast using the age-old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for perpetuation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist Huzel signature.
