Art Deco Hares Rabbit Bronze Sculpture Easter Bunny Marble Figurine Decoration
Total Dimensions: Height 4'' x Width 6'' Approximate Weight: 4 LBS Original Reproduction: OriginalThe European hare also known as the brown hare, Eastern Jackrabbit and Eastern prairie hare, is a species of hare native to northern, central, and western Europe and western Asia. It is a mammal adapted to temperate open country. It is related to the similarly appearing rabbit. which is in the same family but a different genus. It breeds on the ground rather than in a burrow and relies on speed to escape. Normally shy animals, due that they lives a largely solitary lifestyle. Over all hares change their behavior in spring, when they can be seen in broad daylight chasing one another around meadows. During this spring frenzy, hares can be seen "boxing". This is where hares strike one another with their paws. For a long time it had been thought that this was inter-male competition, but closer observation has revealed that it is usually a female hitting a male, either to show that she is not yet quite ready to mate or as a test of his determination. It is mostly nocturnal and crepuscular and forages between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During daytime, a hare will crouch in a depression called a "form" and are partially hidden with its back showing. Hares are capable of running in speeds of up to 35 mph in a straight line. When running form the predators, the hare can dodge and change direction quickly. They will even dive into streams and can swim. Little evidence shows that hares stay within a restricted home range. Predators of the hare include the red fox, wolf, coyote, wild cats and birds of prey. Although they are usually quiet, hares will make low grunts and females will make "guttural" calls to her young. They emit a shrill call when caught or hurt. This is a perfect gift to give around spring time and Easter. This sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and has a two tone brown patina and is mounted on a black marble base and signed by artist Nick.
Welsh Griffin is a great reminder to some of my veried ancestry
Great, heavy bronze.
This sculpture, boy riding the turtle, is 97 percent good. There is a slight scuff/discoloration on the boy’s right shoulder, and upon close examination one can see either glue or discoloration where the boy’s bottom is connected to the turtle. I thought about calling Jan about this, but decided I can live with it. It probably does not, however, bode well for future orders. Thanks.
I recently made my first purchase for a gift. I accidentally made an error when purchasing and once I noticed I contacted Bronzhaus customer service. They were empathetic, professional, efficient and super easy to work with.
I enjoyed my experience and am very pleased with the item I purchased. I will use them again

I adore my Torso of Summer by Aristide Maillol! (the original is held by the Getty Museum). Although it is a beautiful recreation of just the torso of a beautiful woman, it will always remind me of his collection of the four seasons. Bronzhaus does the most remarkable bronzes of new and antique pieces of art statuary. I have several pieces and love them all. The beautiful nude statue holds a place of honor in my foyer. I am so proud of all of my Bronzhaus pieces! Thank you so much! (And I must say that the prices are outstanding!)
I love fine art. My grandfather was a professional artists, and when I was little he would take me to galleries. I fell in love with bronze statues. They are expensive however. BRONHAUS has made it possible for me to own beautiful bronze statues, that I usually couldn't afford. Ive ordered three statues from them, all simply beautiful and affordable. Thank you BRONHAUS for this opportunity you have given me, PLUS fast secure shipping and peace of mind for when my new statue is on its way!!!!
Not really huge but there is rarely room in a lawyers office for something big. Nicely made.
This piece was well made and very attractive.
Everthing about the sculpture is amazing. Thank you Bronzhaus
This is a pretty and pleasant statue. Very nice on my desk.
Very nice, tasteful erotic nude bronze artwork. Very detailed, even down to the fingers. Packed for shipping well. No complaints in the least.
What material are your sculptures made out of?
All of our sculptures are made from100% hot cast bronze, and handmade in the ancient lost wax casting method. We never sell cheap cold cast sculptures or resins!
What is the difference between hot cast and cold cast bronzes?
Hot cast bronze is created by pouring a molten metal mixture into a mold. Before the metal can be poured, our artists must first create the mold on a medium such as clay, rubber, or wood. Each mold allows for a limited number of pours, and therefore a limited amount of sculptures can be created in any given round of production before the mold is destroyed and the artist must create a new mold.
Cold cast is actually made from resins and plastics which are painted over. They are cheaper, lighter, and less durable.
Generally speaking, hot cast bronzes are very time consuming and limited in their production, whereas cold cast resins can be mass produced and are inexpensive to create.
