The young Roman man, having just stepped forward from behind a tree, gracefully lets his right hand fall after the release of his arrow. A long cape is fastened to his shoulder and has been swung over his left arm by the holds of a bow. This handmade bronze sculpture was molded using the age-old method of lost-wax casting, capturing every fine detail of the figure. The rich textures and dynamic form create a striking visual impact, emphasizing the moment of action in the release of the arrow. Finished with a brown patina for preservation, this sculpture is mounted on a sleek black marble base and is signed by the artist Montorsoli.
