Demetre Chiparus died in 1947 and was buried in Bagneux cemetery, just south of Paris.
We are delighted with the wonderful sculpture 'King and Queen' received from Bronzhaus. Our favourite Henry Moore sculpture, the quality of the piece far exceeded our expectations. I rarely provide reviews, however for Yan and team I wanted to make an exception, their service and quality of sculptures is first class - highly recommended!
Could not be more happy with my purchase. Just an absolutely stunning statue in ever way. Packaged very well and delivered undamaged. Fast shipping. Will order from again! Looks like a million bucks!
It was of poor quality, did not match pictures posted, item returned
The piece is beautifully done and very pleasing to look at.
Had strong mixed emotions. The face and body surface were well finished. The coat and hat were rough and appear untreated from the casting. There was an attempt to high-light the outer-edge of the coat for example but was poorly executed. Almost returned the sculpture except that the overall portions of the elements were very good. So, I kept it.
This is a very attractive bronze figurine in approximately 1/6 scale. The face is exceptionally well done as is the rest of the figure. It arrived promptly in perfect condition.
This was a present for a friend as a surprise. She loves it! I'll get to see it in October; can't wait. ; )

Having purchased 9+ bronze pieces from Bronzhaus in the last few months, I can tell you that I have had nothing but a stellar experience across the board. Quality of service, fast shipping, and excellent customer service. I only had one issue with a piece damaged by UPS, and Bronzhaus sent me a perfect replacement. Great prices and selection. What material are your sculptures made out of?
All of our sculptures are made from100% hot cast bronze, and handmade in the ancient lost wax casting method. We never sell cheap cold cast sculptures or resins!
What is the difference between hot cast and cold cast bronzes?
Hot cast bronze is created by pouring a molten metal mixture into a mold. Before the metal can be poured, our artists must first create the mold on a medium such as clay, rubber, or wood. Each mold allows for a limited number of pours, and therefore a limited amount of sculptures can be created in any given round of production before the mold is destroyed and the artist must create a new mold.
Cold cast is actually made from resins and plastics which are painted over. They are cheaper, lighter, and less durable.
Generally speaking, hot cast bronzes are very time consuming and limited in their production, whereas cold cast resins can be mass produced and are inexpensive to create.
