A great American classic, this statue is of a cowboy on horse moving fast through the wild wild west! The horse is standing high on his hind legs ready to gallop with some serious speed. The cowboy is dressed in the traditional cowboy hat, chaps, and handkerchief. He even has a whip in his right head ready to crack in order to gain speed. Creating using the lost wax method, this statue has no base. It is signed by Remington. Frederic Sackrider Remington (October 4, 1861 – December 26, 1909) was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer. Lover of cowboys, Native Americans and the U.S. Cavalry, he specialized in depictions of the old American West, concentrating on the last quarter of the 19th century American West.
