This statue looks much like a nymph might, sunning herself for a few moments before slipping back into the water. She sits perched on a rock, rubbing her hands over her smooth legs, toes on the edge of the water. She seems to be deep into thought about a long lost love that broke her heart and left her all alone. She seems upset but yet very caught up in her own beauty and all her good qualities. This brown patina has hints of green in it and it was cast using the "lost wax method." She is mounted on a black marble base and is signed Jean Patoue.
