War-weary, the nude Roman legion has collapsed onto the floor. Dropping his dagger to unfasten his cloak, he begins to rest his head against a wall, letting his guard fall. Despite his fatigue, his eyes are open and transfixed, as he unblinkingly recalls the screams and horrors of the war that turn and twist inside his mind. The handmade bronze sculpture was molded using the archaic methods of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish. He stands upon a black marble base with the European Bronze Finery stamp of quality and the artist J. Debut`s signature.
