This exquisite sculpture captures the graceful beauty of a topless woman dancing with elegance and confidence. She wears a long flowing skirt that cascades in delicate folds, tied gracefully at her waist. Her slender, shapely figure embodies both innocence and poise as she performs her dance on stage, lost in the rhythm of her country’s music. Her pose is dynamic yet refined — one arm extended outward and slightly upward, while the other bends gently at the elbow, resting close to her body in a gesture of harmony and expression. Her wavy hair is tied in a ponytail, with soft strands falling across her face, framing her serene expression. The artist has captured her calm and distinguished beauty with exquisite detail, bringing a lifelike quality that draws the viewer into her quiet moment of artistry. This sculpture features a unique combination of materials — a bronze body with resin head and arms, finished with a brown and resin patina that enhances its texture and depth. Mounted on a solid marble base and signed by Preiss, this handmade piece showcases exceptional craftsmanship and timeless elegance, created using The Art of Lost Wax technique.

A very good fake

I've owned a turn-of-the-century chrysoelephantine (ivory and bronze) figure for a long time and regularly admired its exquisite workmanship. The body and face of this figure is very nicely done and compares well with the original pieces. The 'ivory' or 'bone' is toned to represent aging and comes across credibly. Overall, I like this piece very much.
