Joyful Boy Riding a Turtle by A. Mercie This captivating sculpture depicts a young boy joyfully riding a turtle, showcasing an endearing scene filled with youthful exuberance and playfulness. The artist has meticulously crafted every detail, from the turtle's closed eyes, reflecting its frustration, to the boy's joyful expression as he enjoys the playful ride. The sculpture captures a moment of innocent mischief, with the boy, completely nude, using a rope threaded through the turtle's mouth for a secure grip, showcasing a whimsical interaction between the child and his pet. Detailed and Expressive Craftsmanship The sculpture is a remarkable representation of the bond between the boy and his turtle, highlighting a playful dynamic where the boy seems to take advantage of the turtle's size and slow pace. The expressions on both figures are finely detailed, with the turtle appearing slightly annoyed but compliant, and the boy radiating delight and mischievous energy. This piece beautifully captures the essence of childhood curiosity and the innocent exploration of one's surroundings. Timeless Bronze Artistry Crafted using the ancient "Lost Wax Method," this sculpture is a testament to traditional bronze casting techniques, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and lasting durability. The piece is handmade in 100% bronze, with a rich patina finish that adds depth and character. It is mounted on a smooth, black round marble base, providing a stable and elegant foundation. Signed by the artist A. Mercie, this sculpture is not only a delightful decorative piece but also a fine example of artistic expression and craftsmanship. Not too bad

This sculpture, boy riding the turtle, is 97 percent good. There is a slight scuff/discoloration on the boy’s right shoulder, and upon close examination one can see either glue or discoloration where the boy’s bottom is connected to the turtle. I thought about calling Jan about this, but decided I can live with it. It probably does not, however, bode well for future orders. Thanks.
