This famous sculpture is based on Jean-Leon Gerome`s `The Ballplayer`. She stands in the nude with a beautifully curvy body. At her feet sit two unique masks with a pile of balls. In her hands she clutches two balls and peers over her shoulder. Her hair is pulled up into a neat bun. She is an artist`s muse. She is comfortable standing before his easel and being the inspiration for the strokes of his paintbrush. 100% bronze and handmade, this brown patina sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and mounted on a marble base. It is signed by the artist J. L. Gerome.
