This is an amazing piece is beyond believe astonishing. This lovely couple take a stroll through the park before attending their party. Largely in figure but yet very beautiful, the woman has this nice dress that goes beneath her knees and its spaghetti strapped one is neatly placed on her shoulder while the other one hangs off right arm. Her hair is done in an old fashion way with big curled up bangs. She holds a clutch on her left hand and wrap around her is a scarf type of shoulder wrap that covers most of her left arm. He wears a typical button down suit with a tie. The details on this sculpture are crazy that man carries on his right arm an umbrella in case it begins to rain. Her accerssories are perfect from her earrings to her bracelets. He has glasses on as well as a hat and a ring that he sports on his right ring finger. They were captured using the age-old method of lost wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for perpetuation. The bronze sculpture is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist Botero`s signature. Fernando Botero Angulo (born April 19, 1932) is a Colombian figurative artist, self-titled "the most Colombian of Colombian artists" early on. He came to national prominence when he won the first prize at the Salón de Artistas Colombianos in 1958. Working most of the year in Paris, in the last three decades he has achieved international recognition for his paintings, drawings and sculpture, with exhibitions across the world. His art is collected by major museums, corporations and private collectors
