She lies deep in the middle of the forest with her child in her arms. She lies on a blanket that she has spread out; she is not scared or intimidated of being nude. She is dryad and she is in her safe haven, the woods protect her and are one with her. She sings a lullaby not only to her baby but she also sings to the forest as well. She falls asleep as she sings her little one a lullaby. She is about to drift off in to a deep sleep full of sweet dreams. As she drifts off to sleep an eagle swoops down over them covering them in his wing span as if he is creating a blanket to keep them warm. This is a very detailed sculpture with a gorgeous brown patina and has gold highlights. Every time you look at this sculpture you will find a new detail, justifying the gorgeous quality and time the artist put into the sculpture. This sculpture was cast using the “Lost Wax Method” and is mounted on a marble base and is signed by artist Rubin.
