Rodin has been appreciated for decades as one of the pre-eminent Realist sculptors of the late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century. Rodin`s goal, as he put it, was "to render inner feelings through muscular movement." He achieved this aim by joining his profound knowledge of anatomy and movement with special attention to the body`s surfaces, saying, "The sculptor must learn to reproduce the surface, which means all that vibrates on the surface, soul, love, passion, life...Sculpture is thus the art of hollows and mounds, not of smoothness, or even polished planes." To this end, his detailed modeling and energetic poses are strikingly vigorous and lifelike...even one hundred years after they were created.

I ordered Lady Justice for a very special occasion, I was not disappointed. Before I ordered her, I spent a lot of time looking at different sites worldwide, and decided on Bronzhaus. Ordering/Delivery/Cost were seamless.
I live in Ontario Canada, and delivery was prompt and fast(4 days).
She came wrapped so snug and packed, there was no movement at all, even though Custom's inspection made the box look damaged, she wasn't. The detail is perfect, the colouring is beautiful and varied. Some spots on the finish look "rough" but either by design or accident, this does not deter from her beauty, if anything it gives it a historic weathered look, and makes her look more authentic and regal. Overall, very happy and will be appreciated as a gift.

Another keeper

The ballerina goes so well with the Cirque du Soleil trapeze work. I now have three stick figures from Bronzhaus (I have others that are not stick figures). I love art. I love sculpture. I love beauty. I have several other bronzes for which I have paid in excess of $10,000. I have had other artist friends of mine, when they are making a delivery or just coming for a visit and they always notice the bronzes. Not one of them has ever questioned, criticized or denigrated these works. I do avoid, however, the copies that are well-known in their original state. But for now I am very much enjoying the extra "bay leaf" in the artistic meatloaf that these bronzes bring to my home and garden.
