Their horses gallop full speed, while they lean over the sides of their saddles to battle. They brandish weapons. Hatchets slice through the air. The careful details of the sculpture freeze the action in time, as they race closely. Their horses rear their legs, spooked by the action. 100% bronze and handmade, this brown patina sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and mounted on a marble base and is signed Remington. Frederic Sackrider Remington (October 4, 1861 – December 26, 1909) was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer. He specialized in depictions of the old American West, concentrating on the last quarter of the 19th century American West. Many of his sculptures depicted cowboys, Native Americans and the U.S. Cavalry.
