Total Dimensions: Height 27'' x Width 18'' Approximate Weight: 55 LBS Original Reproduction: ReproductionThis famous piece entitled "Descending Night" was crafted by German sculptor, Adolph A. Weinman died at Port Chester, New York, on August 8, 1952 after an outstanding career bringing honor to himself and his adopted country.
I am very happy with my purchase the sculpturesarived well packaged an in a timely manner looks amazing and looking forward to my next purchase
Welsh Griffin is a great reminder to some of my veried ancestry
Great, heavy bronze.
This sculpture, boy riding the turtle, is 97 percent good. There is a slight scuff/discoloration on the boy’s right shoulder, and upon close examination one can see either glue or discoloration where the boy’s bottom is connected to the turtle. I thought about calling Jan about this, but decided I can live with it. It probably does not, however, bode well for future orders. Thanks.
I recently made my first purchase for a gift. I accidentally made an error when purchasing and once I noticed I contacted Bronzhaus customer service. They were empathetic, professional, efficient and super easy to work with.
I enjoyed my experience and am very pleased with the item I purchased. I will use them again

I adore my Torso of Summer by Aristide Maillol! (the original is held by the Getty Museum). Although it is a beautiful recreation of just the torso of a beautiful woman, it will always remind me of his collection of the four seasons. Bronzhaus does the most remarkable bronzes of new and antique pieces of art statuary. I have several pieces and love them all. The beautiful nude statue holds a place of honor in my foyer. I am so proud of all of my Bronzhaus pieces! Thank you so much! (And I must say that the prices are outstanding!)
I love fine art. My grandfather was a professional artists, and when I was little he would take me to galleries. I fell in love with bronze statues. They are expensive however. BRONHAUS has made it possible for me to own beautiful bronze statues, that I usually couldn't afford. Ive ordered three statues from them, all simply beautiful and affordable. Thank you BRONHAUS for this opportunity you have given me, PLUS fast secure shipping and peace of mind for when my new statue is on its way!!!!
Not really huge but there is rarely room in a lawyers office for something big. Nicely made.
This piece was well made and very attractive.
Everthing about the sculpture is amazing. Thank you Bronzhaus
This is a pretty and pleasant statue. Very nice on my desk.
What material are your sculptures made out of?
All of our sculptures are made from100% hot cast bronze, and handmade in the ancient lost wax casting method. We never sell cheap cold cast sculptures or resins!
What is the difference between hot cast and cold cast bronzes?
Hot cast bronze is created by pouring a molten metal mixture into a mold. Before the metal can be poured, our artists must first create the mold on a medium such as clay, rubber, or wood. Each mold allows for a limited number of pours, and therefore a limited amount of sculptures can be created in any given round of production before the mold is destroyed and the artist must create a new mold.
Cold cast is actually made from resins and plastics which are painted over. They are cheaper, lighter, and less durable.
Generally speaking, hot cast bronzes are very time consuming and limited in their production, whereas cold cast resins can be mass produced and are inexpensive to create.
